Harriet St. Leger

Harriet enamels on silver, copper and steel and enjoys making jewellery and wall panels. Colour features strongly in Harriet’s work, who is drawn to bold graphic shapes. Inspiration comes from natural forms, leaves, buds and pods but lately Harriet has been using images from the local fruit and veg shop. Wall panels were the first thing Harriet made, cutting stencils and sifting enamel and embellishing with gold foil. Then using some of the fruit and vegetable images in jewellery designs. Often the is silver photo etched first and then engraved, sometimes Harriet also uses cloisonne wires and gold foil.
