Tom Lundsten

Coincidences made it so I got to work with enamel. I lived in England for some time, where I saw beautifully crafted silver with intense colors that only enamel can give. Something I had to persue and try myself.

When I started making enamel jewellery, it was the vibrant colors that characterize my work, and to a large extent still does. My designs are often inspired by Art Nouveau or geometric patterns. By engraving the silver I enhance the light reaction through the transparent enamel and gets more intense colours.

I learned that enamelling can be done in so many different techniques. “High Firing” enamel on copper is a very hard technique to control but very rewarding and can give unusual results and effects as seen on my cups and bowls.
