Linda has been captivated by enamelling since she was given an old kiln as a present over thirty years ago. She likes to create beautiful enamels and jewellery filled with memories and dreams that help bring peace and calm to the wearer. This Kaleidoscope pendant reminisces a favourite toy from her childhood,and the ‘twist and turn’ setting means it can be rotated similarly to the toys. The act of turning can help to bring a feeling of calm and contemplation. The enamel itself uses her favourite technique of cloisonné on hand engraved silver with gold foils. The surface has been finely polished to a perfectly smooth and shiny finish to contrast with the beaded setting to give a beautifully tactile feel.
