Ashleigh’s love for enamelling began when she was studying for her Masters. During the years she studied, she spent her time learning and understanding various techniques in printmaking and enamelling and began to find ways of combining the two together.
Creatively influenced by the world and taking inspiration from objects found in nature, she has a particular fondness for flora and fauna that started at a young age with forest walks with grandparents.
Ashleigh’s collection of work can be found in many forms such as brooches, trinket dishes and framed pieces and most recently creating large scale compositions. By creating three dimensional enamel objects, for example a leaf, Ashleigh can create unique collections and showcase a wide variety of species within her work. Ashleigh is always humbled to think viewers mistake her artwork for real leaves, however, she has patiently cut and enamelled every single piece with love.
